This weekend, teams from across Georgia, South Carolina and Florida convened in Evans, Georgia for the inaugural Columbia County Faceoff Against Cancer Lacrosse Event.
On Friday night, Chapin (SC) got things started with a 7-6 victory over Greenbrier (GA) and IMG Academy (FL) closed out the evening with a 13-10 win over Maclay (FL).
Saturday started with a 19-13 victory for North Gwinnett (GA) over Maclay and IMG Academy picked up its second win of the weekend, this time a 13-4 victory over Waccamaw (SC). The day rounded out with North Gwinnett taking a 17-5 win over Chapin.
Also on Saturday the tournament handed out the Nick Colleluori Awards, given to one player from each team that most represents the qualities of our founder. Those honorees, who play with true heart, fearless determination and are relentless on and off the field, received their awards from Brett Moyer, a former teammate of Nick's.
