March 20, 2010 - Port Washington, NYPort Washington Girl's Lacrosse team hosted a HEADstrong Tournament on March 20, 2010. 12 teams (listed below) representing Nassau and Suffolk County on Long Island participated in the event. The HEADstrong Foundation thanks the Port Washington school administrators, Coaches Raquel Piraino, Mary Romano and Boy's Varsity Coach Joe Masceratti for their outstanding efforts in raising awareness and honoring Nick's legacy. HEADstrong Foundation apparel was sold and volunteers sold refreshments and raffles for prizes and most important, the girls had a spectacular day of lacrosse, Nick's spirit was felt by all that attended and his legacy shared with hundreds more people.
